Leading IPTV manufacturer enhances Set-Top Box offering with established Multimedia home networking standard for in-home distribution of IPTV
Tel Aviv, Israel, Newark, CA - CopperGate Communications Ltd. a Challenge Fund II portfolio company, today announced that Entone Technologies Inc. has selected CopperGate's CG3010 chipset as a key component providing the home entertainment data networking features of En tone's high-definition (HD) MPEG-4 set-top boxes. Entone set-top boxes with embedded CopperGate chips will enable multi-room video and content sharing without the need for additional cabling.

Coppergate's CopperStream chip sets, used in a variety of products such as set-top boxes, broadband residential gateways and ONTs from leading manufacturers, are the first to comply with the ITU G.9954 (HomePNA 3) home networking standard. CopperStream enables high-speed multimedia home networking of IP data over both coaxial cable and phone wires with more guaranteed QoS. HomePNA 3 technology is being deployed today by AT&T and other major telcos for the in-home distribution of triple play services.
